Accounting Supervisor

As Supervisor you will lead and coordinate the work processes and schedules of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Treasury Specialists.  You will also manage our banking and insurance relationships, maintain the equity accounts of members within the customer information system, and prepare appropriate reconciliations, analysis, and financial reports to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the Accounting/Cash Operations function.


We will rely on you to act as department subject matter expert for software implementations or upgrades affecting the cash operations area including testing, documenting, and training users on new functionality.

Key Responsibilities & Results:

  • Provide day-to-day work direction and leadership to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury employees to ensure a high quality team
  • Implement and maintain Accounting and Customer Information Systems related to payments, cash application, and cash back (member equity) balances
  • Manage the treasury and insurance renewals to ensure the proper allocation of funds and to mitigate company risk exposure
  • Coordinate the annual Cash Back allocation and retirement processes to ensure accuracy and meet criteria and deadlines prescribed by the Board

Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

  • Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field 
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience, including accounts receivable and/or accounts payable in a high volume environment

  • Superior communication and customer relations skills
  • Ability to effectively lead people
  • Ability to analyze detailed data and methodically problem solve

  • Expert knowledge of financial software systems including testing and implementing new software functionality

Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to interact with customers in an effective fashion

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of accounting and a solid mathematical and analytical ability

  • Strong organizational skills
