    We are seeking a motivated individual with call center experience to join our Member Services Team.  The ideal candidate will have the talents and skills to create a positive and memorable customer service experience. 

     

     

    The work schedule for this position will be Monday – Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

    Key Responsibilities & Results:

    Provide exceptional customer service by answering, analyzing and resolving members’ issues in such a manner that creates quality customer relationships. 

     

     

    Examples include:

    • Ability to understand and relay member account information
    • Process phone payments, negotiate payment arrangements, and answer billing inquires
    • Ability to troubleshoot energy usage and high bill concerns
    • Answer member questions regarding Connexus Energy products and services such as Conservation and Efficiency Programs; and promoting & introducing members to current incentives for participation
    • Collect delinquent accounts in a timely and professional manner
    • Assist with taking outage calls as needed including working extra hours occasionally during a storm event
    • Facilitate construction and technical requests for service by providing information and assistance to members
    • Communicate and work effectively with other departments and the community to meet member needs
    • Ability to use multiple forms of communication including phone, email, instant message and in-person

    Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

    • 2-3 years’ experience in a customer service role
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Strong communication skills (listening, verbalizing and writing)
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and a customer information system; ability to use and toggle between multiple screens and systems
    • Comfortable with technology to assist members with their online experience
    • Solid work ethic
    • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work with a focus on productivity and results
    • Ability to work with members in a respectful and calm manner
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment to achieve departmental goals

    Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

    • Experience in a high-volume, inbound and outbound call center
    • Collections experience
    • Utilities experience
    • Post-secondary education
