    We have an opportunity for an accomplished SCADA expert to help drive the direction and development of our distribution system applications (SCADA, operating customer owned distributed generation, voltage reduction, and automated power factor control, as well as future distribution automation and smart grid applications).  If you're looking to contribute to a long-established, strong and secure organization with your influence and strong technical knowledge and skills, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. 

    Key Responsibilities & Results:

    • Provide technical oversight and direction to substation and distribution system Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) development and operation.
    • Establish, configure, and troubleshoot communications between end-use devices and SCADA.
    • Develop, implement and maintain distribution automation systems that maximize use of distribution plant capacity and system value, and enhance distribution system reliability.
    • Develop, maintain, and oversee the engineering, construction and maintenance requirements for SCADA and related distribution automation systems.
    • Investigate and discover industry standards and trends and recommend future development and enable continuing innovation.
    • Establish end-to-end communications between SCADA and field devices.
    • Provide technical support and training to internal partners and users.

    Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

    • BS in Electrical Engineering* (emphasis in Power Systems preferred)
    • Candidates with a BS in Computer/Software Engineering and Sciences will also be considered if they have will also be considered with it (emphasis in Power Systems preferred)
    • 5+ years related work experience
    • Experience with distribution system device control programing
    • Knowledge of the operation of electrical distribution system and associated equipment
    • Strong ability to analyze and solve problems
    • Customer focus
    • Current and valid Class D driver’s license

    * In lieu of a BS Electrical Engineering, candidates with an Associate level electrical degree/certificate or BS in computer/software engineering and sciences will be considered if they have additional (7-10 years) relevant experience.  

    Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

    • Experience in OSI's SCADA platform
    • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and project teams
    • Experience with an electric utility (electric distribution utility experience a plus)
